SKE Kombucha Brewing Equipment

Brewing kombucha requires only 3 essential pieces of equipment: Kombucha Brewhouse, Kombucha Fermenter, and Kombucha Finishing Tank — all meticulously engineered and crafted by blending time-honored kombucha brewing wisdom with state-of-the-art technology.

Kombucha Brewery Equipment

This is the first stage of the kombucha-making process: water is boiled in a brewing kettle, followed by adding black or green tea and sugar to create a sweetened tea mixture, which is then boiled for a specified period. After boiling, the mixture is cooled to room temperature—either via a plate heat exchanger or by adding cooling water—before being transferred to the first-stage kombucha fermentation tank.

Kombucha Fermentation Tank

This is where the fermentation process takes place, and the SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria & Yeast) is introduced. Primary fermentation begins and lasts 1 to 3 weeks, during which the SCOBY works to develop the distinctive, delicious flavor profile of kombucha.

Kombucha Finishing Tank

In the kombucha brewing process, the final vessel is commonly referred to as a brite tank (or bright tank) in the brewing industry. This is where secondary fermentation and beverage carbonation occur, and flavorings are incorporated during this stage.

Bottling and packaging the finished kombucha beverage can be done straight from the finishing tank.
