SKE Grain Wet Miller
Precision Processing for Consistent Brewing Quality
Working Principle
- Moistening: Weighed malt is fed into a moistener, where the water volume, water temperature, and contact time are controlled with warm water. This moistens the malt and improves its flexibility.
- Milling: The moistened malt is transferred to a specially designed mill and crushed by adjustable rolls. Moistening prevents the malt husks from shattering, making them easier to separate from the inner endosperm.
- Mixing: The milled malt particles are directly mixed with brewing water in the mash tun to form mash. This completely eliminates dust and improves operational safety.
Advantages Over Dry Milling
- High Precision: The milling degree is more controllable, and the integrity of husks is preserved to facilitate filtration.
- Low Dust Emissions: The operating environment is cleaner, which is more beneficial to workers’ health.
- Superior Mashing Performance: Amylase can access starch more easily, resulting in high extraction efficiency, reduced residue, and improved saccharification rate.
- High-quality Wort: Filtration is more efficient, and the resulting wort is clearer.
