High Shear Homogenizing Mixing Tank

High shear homogenizing tank widely adopted for syrup preparation, fruit juice blending, wort mixing and functional beverage ingredient compounding in beer and beverage production, and also perfectly suited for homogenizing and mixing dairy products, sauces and other liquid materials requiring uniform texture.

How High-Shear Homogenizing Mixer Works

The rotor revolves quickly and strong force is produced through high tangent speed and high frequency mechanical effect, therefore, the material in the narrow slot among stator and rotor receives strong forces from mechanical and liquid shearing, centrifugal force, pressing, liquid fraction, clashing, tearing and rush water. An auxiliary impeller located in the middle section provides directional guidance for the fluid flow, enhancing the internal circulation intensity within the vessel. It also directs and draws any floating powders or suspended solids from the upper section of the vessel into the working chamber, thereby promoting the comprehensive mixing of all materials within the container.

The dissolvable solid, liquid and gas material is then instantly dispersed and emulsified evenly and finely and finally products with stable high quality are made.

In beverage, dairy, juice, and ready-to-drink production, consistent mixing, homogenization, and stabilization are critical to final product quality. Common challenges such as undissolved powder, agglomeration, floating oil, layering, sedimentation, and unstable taste can all be traced back to insufficient mixing and homogenization during the preparation stage. Our High-Shear Homogenizing Mixing Tank is specially designed to solve these problems. Built with food-grade stainless steel and equipped with a top-mounted high-shear homogenizing mixer with auxiliary suction impellers, this unit provides efficient, hygienic, and reliable batch processing for syrup, beverage base, dairy mix, fruit juice blend, and functional beverage formulations.

For many standard applications such as syrup preparation, normal beverage blending, or low-demand mixing, the high-shear homogenizing tank alone delivers sufficient quality and efficiency. However, for products requiring higher stability, finer texture, and long shelf life—such as dairy drinks, plant-based beverages, protein drinks, high-fiber drinks, juice with pulp, and formulations containing oil or fat—combining the high-shear mixing tank with an inline homogenizing pump is strongly recommended.

The high-shear tank completes initial dispersion, mixing, and homogenization to create a stable premix. The inline homogenizing pump then further refines particle size, enhances emulsion stability, and ensures consistent uniformity during continuous transfer to downstream processes. This combination prevents secondary layering or sedimentation, improves taste smoothness, and supports stable, continuous supply for filling lines. It is especially suitable for large-capacity, high-standard, or automated production lines that require consistent quality round the clock.
